The Snow Flakers Christmas Table

Slowly Christmas is coming together!  The snow flakers have joined the Christmas table and are ready to greet guests!  The drop leaf table in our kitchen will serve as a side table for Christmas goodies.

The black and white check tool caddy is once again taking center stage.  It has been filled with live greens from the tree right outside the back door.  Red berries have been added.  To keep the greens as fresh as possible a water soaked paper towel was placed inside a sandwich size Ziploc bag.  The cut ends were then placed down inside this bag.

I don't usually decorate the shelf above the table but this year added a few seasonal pieces.

Some real evergreens, flow blues, and reds look like Christmas!

Shopping the house can be fun.  I found my red and white check vintage table cloth and the old green scale.  Adding these to the table makes good color!  The little snowman candle light adds just the right glow.

Above the snowman light is one of my favorite Christmas pictures.  A sleigh ride in the snow is captured looking through an old fashioned window!   I can just imagine this scene many years ago on Quaker Hill Farm.  There was a horse that used to live her called Merry Legs!

All that is needed is the hot mocha drink and sugar cookies!  We are ready....stay tuned for both of those recipes.
