Scarecrow over the Chair Pocket Posey


A Chair Pocket Posey has been made just in time to celebrate the fall season.  The Inspiration for this piece was some pottery from Hobby Lobby.

A six inch square of fabric was painted to coordinate with the pottery.  This pretty paisley hand towel was fashioned to make the chair pocket posey.  Ties were made and placed on the inside of the holder to tie onto the chair.

Posies were chosen to coordinate with the pocket holder and were placed inside.  A little paper was put in the bottom of the bag to help hold the flowers in place.  A cute scarecrow from the dollar store was the final touch.  The bag was tied on to the chair for a bit of whimsy.

I am making a set of four.  Two down and two to go!  



I just love that teal color.  

When all four are completed I plan to use them at our other table, but for now, this little scarecrow is quite content to sit right where he is.
