Simple Pleasures~Tea and Dandelions

Simple Pleasures can come in all forms.  This is the third in a series of those simple pleasures in life.  Who would have thought that dandelions and creeping Charlie, those sometimes pesky weeds, could be so pretty with a cup of tea!
I really don't mind the dandelions.  Now the creeping Charlie is a pretty purple and is certainly a ground cover, however, for my flower beds it has really taken over.  Mixed with the dandelions in makes a very pretty simple bouquet.

A thrift store bud vase is perfect with sweet little roses on the front.

It certainly did not cost much money to add this pretty touch of color to my afternoon tea.  I chose a pretty teacup with sweet little flowers that coordinated with the "weeds."

I have a sweet hand painted garden table just perfect to sit the weeds, cookies, and tea.

This simple pleasure certainly made for a relaxing tea while browsing through one of my gardening magazines.  It is time to plant or almost time and I really can't wait to see all of those pops of color here in Indiana.  However, there is beauty in our yard even if it is weeds!

You might also enjoy these delicious applesauce cookies!  They are a favorite around here.

Take time today to create your own simple pleasure, even if it involves weeds!
