I had worked in our garden most of the day picking tomatoes and green peppers. Canning was the next order of the day and after that was completed I was pretty tired. I decided to have tea on our back patio area. The pretty Veggies just seemed so vibrant. I thought they would make a good focal point for my tea. That is the fun part. Deciding where to have tea and what to use! I love color and this tea time is no exception! Trust you will enjoy Tea time with me!
It has been a beautiful warm summer day! For this tea, since it was very warm, I chose to make just a plain ole Orange Pekoe tea with LOTS of ice!
Things were brought outside so that I could relax and look at the beautiful color around me! The impatiens are the background. They have been so pretty and make a great color contrast for the veggies!
All of the Veggies came from our garden except for the corn. A kind neighbor provided us with several ears. I placed them atop a very old vintage metal picnic basket. The basket has wooden handles and sports an orange flower. The Red gingham table cloth was a thrift store find. I thought the veggies looked so pretty sitting near the flowers.
I brought my chippy red chair and garden hat to join in the tea! The chair is one of my favorites. It looks so neat and is really still pretty comfy to sit.
Tea time would not be complete without a little bit of nourishment! I found this homemade bread recipe and thought it sounded really good. Let me tell you it IS REALLY good! It is a 90 minute recipe and you can find it here. Don't waste the crumbs has some really neat things! You might want to try this for yourself. It was easy and sooo sooo tasty! My husband is pretty picky and he really liked it. I chose a sweet little plate with flowers to use for the bread. I slathered it with strawberry preserves.
Thank you for joining me today for my veggie lovers Tea! Blessings to you and trust you can enjoy your very own veggie lovers Tea!
I had a very sweet surprise today from Stephanie of The Enchanting Rose. She featured my Memory tea with my little Granddaughter! Thank you Stephanie!.

Hi there! I'm visiting from WOW and I had to hop on over to your tea party! Your veggies do indeed look lovely with those gorgeous impatiens in the background. Mine have not done well since we have had such a hot and dry summer. However, the tomatoes and green peppers have loved the heat! Nice to meet another gardener!
Thank you Jane for your visit! Impatiens DO like lots of water for sure! Yes, since I have retired I find I LOVE gardening even more! Nice to meet you also! Have a great eve! Lynn
