Here at Quaker Hill Farm I don't usually fix much breakfast. My Hubby is not real keen on that meal! I try to tell him it is the most important meal of the day. Every once in awhile I fix a hearty good old fashioned breakfast anyway! It is just like what I would imagine a Quaker Hill Farm house breakfast used to be. Join me as I prepare the table. Let's just see if I can entice him to eat! As the old saying goes we eat with our eyes first!
I chose, of course, my favorite color of red for the primary colors in the table setting. The red gingham tablecloth fits the table just right. We had received these farm dishes as a wedding gift 46 years ago! They remind me of the cows, pigs, and sheep that used to be such a part of Quaker Hill Farm.
I love anything Vintage. The scales, biscuit jar, lamp base, and salt and pepper shakers are truly one of a kind!
Another sweet find were two vintage potholders. I thought they looked pretty cute sitting under the silverware.
The Napkins are simply two dishcloths. My Tansy is just starting to open. I just made a simple bouquet and tied it onto the napkin with a red polka dot ribbon.
