A Re-purposed Ladder

Bringing the outdoors in!  I had 3 gorgeous ferns I did not want to lose.  The dilemma was where to put them?  The window in the garden room is just way too hot.  So I decided to bring in the old barn ladder and place them on that.  So far I like it.  It is such a pretty scene out the window.  To hold the bottom securely I tied it onto the ladder with some twine.  A tip.  If you want to get rid of dead leaves take a soft brush or broom and just gently hit the leaves and the dead ones fall out like a dream!

A canopy of trees. I just love this gravel road for two reasons! First of all our son and family live on this road and second it is just beautiful! The leaves have not show much color until the last few days and oh my how beautiful they are! Enjoy your Saturday my friends! Setting the scene

Happy November 1!  Unbelievably the flowers at the backdoor still look pretty good!  It is hard to believe but here they are!  I guess there is just enough warmth to keep them going!  How about in your area?!!  

A Simple Pkeasure Making a scented tray

via InstagramA simple pleasure with a big impact! Using what I have available, a great cinnamon scent pleases the senses. Make a tray out of what you have. This happens to be an old rusty fluted pan. Add broken cinnamon sticks and then place your teapot/coffee pot in the center for warmth of a delightful aroma! Cost to me 0. If you are fortunate enough to live near an Amish grocery, bulk cinnamon sticks are very reasonable and this time of the year can be used for so many things. Enjoy your morning reading with a warm cup of your favorite beverage and just sit and take in the beautiful aroma! Jewel tones, fall and color. What do these have in common? Our home 🏡! I love to decorate for the fall season. The rich jewel tones reminds me of the beauty of creation. It is just all around us! The golds and reds mixed with orange and purple all so beautiful! A true feast for the eyes. Fall is really a pretty short season. Already the leaves are disappearing and the landscape changing to browns and grays. But that is when pheasants are spotted and wild turkeys all with beautiful dark plumage.
