June~ the Month of the Bride~Hosting a bridal shower

I helped to provide decorations for this bridal shower for the new bride to be from our church.  I wanted something very unusual for this lovely gal.  A miniature replica of the bride's dress was the challenge.  To coordinate everything, a glass was hand painted with a magnolia, which was the flower chosen for the bride dress tussie mussie.  She is  sweet and charming and will be a beautiful bride.  She is not a frilly sort of gal so the theme was kept as elegant and soft as possible.  She has chosen colors of ivory, navy blue, and metallic gold.

My granddaughters were thrilled with the whole party.  The bride is now their most favorite person!

The cake table was fun to put together.  The top was made from a navy satin and then yards and yards of tulle was gathered onto it.  Icicle lights were strung around and underneath to give the whole table a dreamy look.

The balloons were made by decoupaging dreamy lace onto the balloons.  After the decoupage dried the balloon was collapsed and the lace was stuffed with tissue paper.  A magnolia flower and the colors were sewn onto the lower balloon.

The cupcake cake was so cute.  A good friend made it for us and it was a wow factor also!

My friend, along with the help of two of the bride's attendants, set up the food table.

Yards of tulle were placed over the ivory table covering and then the bride centerpiece and a vase filled with the magnolia and a tulle covered balloon were the decorations.  Chicken salad on a croissant, pretzel mix, fruit cups, and fresh veggies was on the menu.  It was very tasty for sure!

A battery candle was placed on a candle stick.  Navy and metallic gold ribbon were placed around the center of the candle.  They made such a soft glow on the tables.  To complete the centerpieces, I hand painted a tumbler glass with her colors and then a magnolia.  It was then stuffed with tulle.

The bride to be received many nice gifts and it was a fun afternoon!  Linking to the following lovely parties.
