If My Watering Cans could talk!

Sometimes things just happen!  I had just finished watering my flowers this morning when I looked at my work horse watering can and I saw the prettiest little flowerbud which had stuck to the end.  If this watering can could talk it would tell you it is pretty abused.  It would probably say just look, you think I am really ugly but look at this beautiful bit of beauty that makes me look so different now!  The little flower still has the leaf attached!

I call this my work horse because I use it every day!  It has watered countless flowers and garden vegetables.  My doggie has chewed on the end of it and it really is a pretty ugly green color!  BUT, I love it.  It carries just the right amount of water and it can stand up to the abuse I give it.  I suppose one day I will have to retire it, but for now it reminds me that sometimes things of great value and beauty come in not so pretty packages!

If my red watering can could talk it would tell you it loves to sit on the front porch and watch over the flowers.  It also has been marked by time.  I don't use it so much anymore.  It complements my flowers and looks rustic sitting on the coffee table.

I have a child size watering can that is quite fragile.   It is sweet and petite.  It sits in my garden room most of the time.  If it could talk it would tell you it loves to be used by my little granddaughters when they come to stay with Grammy.  They love to help me water my flowers.

I had shared my garden room with you last week.  The watering can pictured here came from our family farm.  It has served its purpose and now has a prominent spot in my garden room. If it could talk it would tell us many tales of life back in the days when Quaker HIll Farm was young!  I am sure it has watered many vegetables and flowers in its day.  Right now it is the resting days of its life, just looking pretty!

Thanks for taking a peek!  Share with me if you have a favorite watering can which you use!  I would love to hear from you!  Blessings this day!

Your photos are a joy---and I would certainly have a convo with all of your watering cans. Mine would scream right now they are 'unemployed', because we have had to use hoses to water this year. Just so they don't 'picket', me, lol.

Oh wow! That is tough! I hope you will get rain soon so the cans won't have to stand in those LONG unemployment lines!! Have a wonderful day! Keep me posted on their status
