Gatherings for a Fall Table

Golden pears, beautiful red apples, peaches as orange pink as the setting sun, and white pumpkins, all are colors which soothe the soul.  Crisp cool nights and warm days encourage us to enjoy the beauty around us.  Apple Dumplings, cinnamon apple butter, and warm cruelers remind me of Fall festivals and walking over crunchy leaves.  As I gathered the colors for this Fall table it reminded of all that I love about Fall.

I always want to try something unique it seems.  Our old barn holds some real treasures.  I found this spool of wire.  The top and the bottom are a green color which reminds me of some of those last leaves of fall which have not totally lost their color, but are fading to a soft and golden brown.  The spool makes a perfect stand for the soft white pottery pumpkin.

Found objects are just a pure joy.  This one cost no money but adds much character to the table.

Gathering at the table.  How often do we do this as a family?  Sometimes life is so busy we eat on the run, but what fun it is to enjoy each other and have wonderful converstations together at the table.  How pleasant it is when we provide something beautiful for our husband and family to feast their eyes upon.

I chose a rather simple set of dishes to use.  They have a fruit pattern in the rich colors of fall.  the glasses remind of those ripe red apples.  The teapot and plate were handmade ceramics.

The flowers are so pretty right now.  They have been enjoying a little bit of fresh rain and less heat.  I have several small glass jars that fit right inside the tool caddy and the flowers are just right.

Loving gathering what is "in my hand" and using it to create unique tables which speak to the heart!  Blessings this day!
