Ah Fall!~ DIY Tiered Basket and Blooms

This DIY project was fun to do.  Copper seems to be a trend for this fall and I am so glad!  I have had this copper tea kettle for many years.  It adds just the right accent for the wire baskets.  Do you believe these came from the dollar store?  They had just gotten these in.  I can't imagine them lasting long.  Three were used to make the tiered basket.
The first decision was how to put them together.  A rod the same color as the basket was purchased from our local hardware store.  Six large washers the and six bolts hold the baskets together.  The neat thing about this is you can adjust the height of the baskets to what suits your needs.  They can also be turned to whatever direction you like.

The handles are the neatest!  They look like copper.  Accents were chosen to play up this look.
The lowest basket was placed on wooden blocks, which were painted with a copper colored paint.  They were then glued with super glue to the bottom of the basket.  The cutest little squirrels were found at Hobby Lobby.  I could not resist but to place them on top of the wood blocks.  They each hold a pumpkin, acorn, or pinecone.

Sweet faux pumpkins, acorns, and pinecones were also found at the dollar store.  The pumpkins were painted with the copper paint and then placed in the cascading dried and faux blooms.

Lots of dried roses, zinnias, and faux flowers were tied with a peachy creamy ribbon in a cascade effect from the top basket to the bottom.  A sweet tray with roses anchors the tiered basket along with the copper tea kettle.  On the top shelf is a plum color carafe that is one of my son's pieces of pottery.
Trust you will have a beautiful early fall day!
