A Hair Bow and a Christmas Birthday Party!

I helped to make snowflake ornaments for a project at our church.   As I was looking at this thought it might also work to add to a hair bow.  A rosette was fashioned out of 24 inches of 3 inch wide ribbon by twisting and turning and then sewing the fabric in place.  The snowflake was made by beading three pieces of pipe cleaner with pearl beads and then it was tied  together.   After it was made it was sewn onto the rosette and a hair clip sewn to the backside of the ribbon.
I made one for each of our little granddaughters.  It was a very simple project.  The ribbon was $1.00 at the Dollar General and the beads were some I had on hands.  So for a little time and a little thread a cute bow can be made and given as a gift.  It took about 1/2 hour for each bow.

Our youngest granddaughter had her fifth birthday last week.  It is difficult when you have a birthday in December...you may feel like you have been cheated just a bit.  Her mommy and daddy made sure though that did not happen.  We had a sweet evening with all of our younger grandchildren enjoying this precious little gal's birthday.  Her mommy made a great memory for her with a snowflake theme.

Her little brother wanted in on the action!  Happy birthday little one...you are growing way too fast!
