Peeking Through the Window~A time for Herbs

Quaker Hill Farm has headed south for the winter!  Loving the warmth and pretty greens and colors!  Peeking through the window is the bougainvillea tree which is full bloom.

The kitchen window is a perfect place for a miniature herb garden.  Love the flowers and the ability to snip some fresh herbs when I want!

I chose some plain ole clay pots with saucers and then painted them to match the kitchen.  The herbs and begonia were potted in plastic cups to make them a little easier to handle.
This is a simple way to add a pop of color and freshness both in taste and color!

Basil, Rosemary, and for color a Begonia round out the fresh selection.

There is nothing quite like freshness and color!  A great combination.

So for less than $12.00 this little window vignette adds color, taste, and frugality all at once!
Happy planting!
