As we prepare for perhaps the winter's largest storm, I couldn't help but reflect on the beauty of something so simple as a cup of tea and cookies. This helps to quiet my spirit as the winter strom rages. I have quite a collection of the Gooseberry Patch cookbooks and the Sweet and Simple book has some really great recipes. Valentines day is a great time to treat your loved ones to special beauty. Home should be the most beautiful place we can make it, and looking for pretty treats to surprise our husbands and families helps to create beauty that they can't wait to come home to. I am really hoping I can snuggle tomorrow and not have to trudge off to work so some planning for the beauty I want to create can be accomplished. I am joining Rose Chintz cottage and Tea Time Tuesday again today. Have a great week!

Your tea is lovely and the heart cookies look yummy.
Beautiful post. It is so romantic and you photography is wonderful. Thanks for sharing this lovely tea party. ~~Sherry~~
What a pretty tea, my friend! So romantic too! The teacup is gorgeous and so is the teapot! You're so right about making our homes inviting for our loved ones! I have always tried to make my own home a haven from the cold.
We are bracing ourselves for this same storm! I think it is hitting us tomorrow. Stay warm and enjoy your tea. Thank you for once again joining me for Tea Time.
Blessings,
Sandi
Hi Lynn, thank you for stopping by my blog about tea. I appreciate meeting new 'friends' in blogdom. Your post is so pretty. I love all the roses and pinks. We are starting to get a bit of snow here from 1 of 2 storms that are coming tonight and tomorrow, the second one is the one you're getting. So, we'll all stay cozy and sip our tea, providing the power doesn't go out! Have a blessed week. Pamela
Your cup and saucer is so lovely! The pinks are just gorgeous! I think the cookies are pretty too.
Blessings, Beth
This is such a romantic looking table with the roses and candle and lovely cups and saucers. I do hope you are warm and cozy tonight as they are saying this may be the biggest blizzard of 2011. Here in Florida, I sip my tea and pray for my blogger friends across the country and world knowing HE holds them in His hand. I too love Gooseberry cookbooks. Should I tell you that some years ago, I donated mine to Good Will. I think I was "downsizing" my books. I so regret giving them all away, now, but believe they have a nice new home where they are being used all the time. Blessings. Safe travels.
